When I lived in an apartment, I dreamed of painting my walls something other than the contractor grade yellowish white that you find in them. I wanted my walls to be crisp and clean and to reflect light beautifully, not dingy and dirty looking under florescent lighting.
There was possibility of my dreams coming true when we moved into our new house, but paint color was the last of our priorities since we’ve started our major house renovations. I was constantly repeating how silly it seamed to paint our living room (the only fully renovated room in our house) when we had bare studs exposed in three rooms ready for drywall. However, when it came to finally paint our newly renovated bathroom, I had extra paint that I couldn’t help but test out in my living room – and it’s perfect. I’ve reached my white paint dreams all thanks to Eider White from Sherman Williams! ha!
Eider White has a creamy, almost grayish-pink undertone. It looks so beautiful with natural light coming in. I think it is important in this room not to have a yellow undertone because the light coming in is often an orange/yellow color. As with all paint, I would recommend testing it out on your own walls first to see how it works in your room.
It also works really well with the pure white trim color I have all throughout our house, and looks good with our muted tones, blue, gray, beige vibes going on in all our decor.
I feel like everyone has their own favorite white paint! I’d love to hear about yours. Comment below!
